Today, I read an interesting post from a young blogger.
The question what would happen to religions in future, is a complex one to answer. In order to answer this question, one should understand how so called religion and religious practices came into existence. In my knowledge, religions have different types of roots.
In addition, we have societies and races with differential distribution of religion within them. We have different cultures, where religion is embedded at different depths. Societal perceptions about religion and religiousness are different.
For cultures, such as India or Iceland where there was no religion in the root of what we know as a "religion" prevailing in those societies. People from such cultures are extremely open to accept new ideas. Although they unconsciously relate themselves very keenly with the ethical value system and heritage, but not with the religious practices of their today´s religion.
Further, science and religion are seen as different poles in the Western world. Whereas according to the Vedic concepts, Vedas, science and religion(ethics) were conceived to be running hand in hand.
That´s what I want to see in this world as a solution to create a right balance. I have no interest in knowing about the future of religions. I have no interest in the mere scientific development. But I want to see bright future of planet earth with scientific development made by having deep ethical conscience.
